http://www.ledrummond.ca seems to be functional and I have been seeing new advertisement for this project (most recently in Universel on Peel). I had understood this project to be discontinued - has anyone heard anything about it going ahead?

That is entirely possible, but Montreal is not comparable to Toronto. The GTA's economic clout and population growth are of a different order of magnitude - the reasons why this is are a different discussion. I think these projects are doing well keeping in mind that Montreal has much more modest economic and population prospectives than other Canadian and most other North American cities.

It is surprising to see it written in French only and not bilingually as usual. Could it have something to do with it being in a metro station? Perhaps the STM has a French-only signage requirement? This is entirely a guess on my part.
