  1. Thanks peekay! Stretched? Might have to do with being overexposed a bit, but looks like the usual Griffintown view!
  2. May not be the correct season to post this, but it's taken awhile to craft😂: Montreal's Amazing Ice Cream Scene
  3. One of Montreal's most beautiful historic buildings turned 5-star hotel
  4. Thanks Toxik! Yes that's a separate building, the video starts by explaining it's the original Grey Nuns house built in the 1690s before moving to the motherhouse in the 1870s. Maybe I'll have to do an in-depth video on the original location too 😂
  5. Dune, Denis Villeneuve and Montreal featured in the New York Times. "Denis Villeneuve, the director who finally figured out how to successfully bring Frank Herbert’s classic novel to the screen, may now be one of Hollywood’s biggest directors, but Montreal remains his home. Several Canadians have risen to the top of the film industry. But many of them have left Canada behind to pursue their careers, following the example of James Cameron." https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/29/world/canada/dune-movie.html
  6. Just in time for Halloween, a peek inside one of Montreal's lesser known landmarks, said to be one of the most haunted buildings in the city: the Grey Nuns Motherhouse
  7. A tour through Montreal's historic Chinatown
  8. Haha I remember when they first announced this tower they said it would be free. Typical.
  9. The best Jewish bakery in town with the famous chocolate babka!
  10. Tourists really seem to love queue de castor...
  11. The Montreal Protocol was signed 34 years ago this week (and basically helped save life on Earth)
  12. Who makes the best croissant in Montreal?
  13. So well said! I can't help but think of Berlin 1936 and the renovation of that stadium for the 2006 World Cup. One day I hope we properly renovate the stadium and make it as special as the architecture suggests it is, rather than just tear it down. Love that photo by J-F Savaria!
  14. Some see a money pit, others see a masterpiece work of art. The legacy of our iconic Big O!
  15. REM-A was first unveiled in 2016, began construction in 2018, with slight modifications to the original plan announced in 2017 and 2018. REM-B was first unveiled December 2020 and they said they only plan to begin construction in 2023. Right now it's the middle of summer, when announcements are scarce. Nothing suggests the project is "going nowhere." Patience.
  16. Wow merci Normand, incredibly kind of you to say!
  17. Sigh, patience people, patience. It's coming. Pic from Agora
  18. The oldest and largest comedy festival in the world, Just for Laughs has been held annually in Montreal since 1983, playing host to the biggest names in comedy while also helping to launch the careers of dozens of others, like Jim Carrey, Kevin Hart, Jon Stewart, Norm MacDonald, Amy Schumer, Bill Burr, Howie Mandel and Dave Chapelle.
