  1. Every time I see this I wonder when it'll be corrected They seem to have given up on that fence lol. I wonder who noticed what first. The misaligned cheap lego piece of a structure or the fence could not be linked together.
  3. lol you are not even following your own advice. "yuck" is an opinion that differs from yours so accept it instead of condescendingly commenting on other posters. This isn't your first born child. Accept it, we hate it.
  4. Amen. What it says to me is that the developers pick the cheapest most cost effective way to build, content with flat top buildings. Even with the height limit, we can still play with it by adding unique peaks to the top. Imagine if l'avenue would be there in the place of this blandness.
Incroyable quand meme:
  7. Slowest rise after podium I've even seen. Hurry up ! I want to bit.ch about this project some more! 😜
  8. Not according to the contremaitre:
  9. Wow.
  13. You are in for a treat if you drive west on the met. I think at pie-ix, there is a huge "fake" storage unit. It looks really cool at night.
  14. Who was talking about tourists taking pictures of buildings? I have seen tourists take pictures on or around the "copper trees" which is near this building. So when they are there, I doubt very much that they will be in awe of the surroundings when they look to the west.
  15. Well said. Freeze -> Thaw those materials a few years and it'll look really bad.
  16. Whatever lipstick they dress up the upper floors with , you will still have a pig for a base. A fugly base at the main entrance to the city visible for many many decades. When tourists and locales come and take pictures on the "copper trees", they will turn to see this hideous base. The upper floors MAY save the building as a whole but walking down RB boulevard just got a little uglier.
  17. Under construction. Ceci date de plus que 40 ans.
  18. Can anyone find a 200 meter tower U/C on earth that is uglier than this? Serious question. Look at this!
  20. https://www.mansionglobal.com/articles/the-crown-jewel-of-montreals-latest-luxury-tower-asks-c-12-1-million-01671191884 The Crown Jewel of Montreal’s Latest Luxury Tower Asks C$12.1 Million A 30th-floor penthouse sets a new benchmark for luxury residential offerings in the city Listing of the Day Location: Montreal Price: C$12.1 million (US$8.9 million) Montreal’s forthcoming luxury property 1111 Atwater is headlined by its most expensive listing, a stunning 30th-floor penthouse. The newly constructed building was developed on the former site of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, which opened in 1904 and moved to another location in 2015. The tower, nestled between downtown Montreal, iconic Mount Royal, the St. Lawrence River and the chic enclave of Westmount, provides a central base for enjoying life in Quebec’s largest city. A total of 25 penthouses will occupy the top eight floors of the 38-story, 443-foot tower. The home has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Lemay + Escobar “From this penthouse you can see the whole of downtown Montreal, the river dotted by its islands, the mountain and an eclectic ensemble of historic buildings, plus the industrial past and new high-rises that make Montreal so vibrant,” said listing agent Berta Rossi of McGill Immobilier. The ground-floor entryway’s private elevator leads to the 30th floor, where the luxe amenities are exclusively for resident use. An indoor pool connects onto an exterior terrace that’s cantilevered off the building, offering far-reaching views. More: Big Canadian Cities Offer a Moment for Long-Hesitant Home Buyers With 10-to- 12-foot ceilings and massive floor-to-ceiling windows, the unit enjoys plenty of natural light. The interiors were conceived by the New York- and Montreal-based architecture firm Lemay + Escobar in collaboration with the Quebec construction company EMD-Batimo. “We used a mix of precious materials down to every detail such as black Saint Laurent marble and huge panels of backlit, golden-hued onyx and veined Macassar ebony wood, interspersed with embossed rose gold-toned metal panels,” said Yluiana Weinberg, senior design lead at Lemay + Escobar. “1111 Atwater is all about elevated living, amazing views, cruise ship-inspired unique materials, and a custom approach to details.” The building is “attracting a crowd of successful business people and families coming from affluent, neighboring Westmount, in search of well-equipped, contemporary luxury living,” Ms. Rossi added. Stats The two-floor, 5,373-square-foot penthouse, which has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, is perched on the 30th floor of the 443-foot, 1111 Atwater building, which is scheduled to open this month. Amenities The building has a 24/7 concierge service as well as valet parking. On the 31st floor, residents can enjoy an indoor pool, sky lounge area and glass-enclosed gym. The building will eventually house a ground-floor restaurant. 1111 Atwater building is scheduled to open this month. Lemay + Escobar Neighborhood Notes The building is close to notable restaurants and the hip neighborhood of Little Burgundy. The Museum of Fine Arts and the Canadian Centre for Architecture, two of the most lively institutions in the city’s rich cultural scene, are also within walking distance.
