Little Italy has been better for 2-3 years than anytime in the last 10-15 years... New stores and restaurants have opened, new cafes, new bars... yes some stores have closed, some historical and some of the new ones are not traditional italian, and the portion south of St-Zotique has yet to see the change that happened on the north part but still, its well on its way.And with the transformation of Marconi-Alexandre and the coming of the Campus Mil, I don't see any reason why it would slow down in the coming years. As for the "true italian signature", its hard to maintain when most of the italian community doesn't live there anymore. The Italian library just closed. It is sad, but in my opinion, some stores failed to update themselves too, and/or were simply doomed by evolving demographics despite all good intentions and help, and also by the deep changes that retail is facing today. Little Italy remains, with all these destinations, very vibrant and has a great deal of day and night animation, not just weekend tourism or late night bars. It is still diverse and appeals to many different group. That is a sign of success.
acpnc Posté(e) 18 novembre 2019 Partager Posté(e) 18 novembre 2019 Tu as parfaitement raison.
