  11. https://www.businessinsider.com/billionaires-row-nyc-suptertall-towers-critique-eric-nash-book-2023-5#-15 Interesting opinion piece with a good summary of the recent supertalls in NYC. New York City is home to 17 supertall towers measuring over 984 feet, the most of any metropolis. Writer Eric P. Nash claims the towers alter the skyline but add little to the city's character. Instead, he said, these towers are an ugly reflection of billionaires' social and political power. ... In time, Nash argues, supertalls will be seen like the Chrysler Building — as living chapters of the city's history. This chapter, however, will be about the social and political power of billionaires in the 21st century.

The multi-“We have our own vision of what we want and we’re still working with the city on that to come up with a quality, forward-looking project that takes account of what is really needed in the Griffintown area, including commercial diversity and green space, really a forward-looking vision for that area,” he said.phase development will be one of Brivia’s largest projects. It will cover the quadrilateral known as Ilot de la Montagne formed by the Guy, de la Montagne, William and Barré Streets. “It’s one of the rare single lots of this size that is available in Griffintown,” said Vincent Kou, chief development and investment officer at Brivia. The development is Brivia’s first project in Griffintown. Brivia acquired the site last year for $104 million from Metro Supply Chain Group. Part of the site was previously slated for a residential project known as Legado, which included residential towers of 10 to 12 storeys, “but we’re in the works of doing something different,” Kou said. “We have our own vision of what we want and we’re still working with the city on that to come up with a quality, forward-looking project that takes account of what is really needed in the Griffintown area, including commercial diversity and green space, really a forward-looking vision for that area,” he said.
