Brocollini 1 - Cadillac Fairview 0
Yup. CF got their balls handed to them. I've been very (rightfully) critical of that farce of a project and this just increases it. Wow. Keep sleeping dummies.

Personally, it looks as if they ran out of money. If you are going to do something, do it right the first time. Horrible! I spit on the designers face!
-
I'm 36 years old, and I don't ever remember seeing anything on that site other than a parking lot!
Yeah, me too.
So it is possible that something might be built there for the first time ever. Literally.
-
Great news. Does anyone know if this site has always been vacant?
I mean, did this site go from trees and nature and Indians to a parking lot?
-
I wish it was this cheap. These are anti-car propaganda numbers. Maybe 8-10 stations max. Maybe.
The rest of your numbers are highly suspect also. Where do you come up with these numbers? How can 1 dollar invested in a new highway not generate a huge amount of return with the freely flowing trucks it will create? How can a student/unemployed/poor person (majority of public transport users) create more economic spinoffs? I would really like to know that.
Also, I agree that eventually a ten lane bridge would inevitably become congested, but definately not 5 years or less! I would say more likely 10-15 years. But I agree it will happen.
I also agree that a mix of an effective, logical highway system (worthy of a city our size) with efficient public transport is the only way out of traffic hell.
No they didn't. They are actually building more elsewhere in the same region. (double-decker highways, new bridges, tunnels)

What a fucking disaster!

Exacte. S'applique seulement aux nouveaux acheteurs.

Cool thanks for the info!

My favorite building in the last 5 years and it is not even close to being complete!

Awesome pic! Thanks!

Two things have to happen before it comes back IMO;
-Selig has to die (hopefully long and painfull that &^%$)
-Montreal's GDP has to go up..WAY up (we are currently in last place in all of North America if I'm not mistaken)
Regardless, I really believe both will happen within the next 50 years

Once again bxlmontreal refuses to answer my comment and continue to spread his <expletive removed> propaganda. Not only that, his cronies defend/don't comment on his posts either. Real sad what this forum has become.

Bravo Jean Charest, et Parti Liberale du Quebec. For all the crap you take from ridiculous Quebeckers, you've done a remarkable job on the economy.
Plan Nord, plan in the PLQ pocket north.
You sound like a racist pig. YOU sound like one...It is up to you to prove everyone wrong.
You polluted and ruined the you tube thread with your garbage propaganda and now this..Way to go. Keep going. You are ruining mtlurb. It's because of ignorant comments like yours that make me cringe every time I log on to this site lately.
There is no difference to the mocking way you say Charest's name and the way racist assholes in the USA say Barrack HUSEIN Obama. They put the emphasis on the arab name. So what!?
So what he was born with an English name? You have a strange and disturbed way of viewing things.
You need to get out more and enjoy life man. You are going to have a heart attack with all you negativity and distorted views.

It is a fine city, one I visited many times. I have a lot of friends that live there. However, I can trace the demise of baseball in Montreal in LARGE part to Toronto media's and TO corporate hidden agenda to slowly make the blue jays Canada's team.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but the city should keep the new green space that the bonaventure will create.
In my opinion they should incorporate a long rectangular green square with minumum 5 luxurious water fountains to welcome visitors to the city. Anything less than 5 is unacceptable.

I would never do such a thing. I was just fooling around. It is hideous.
It is not worthy of the caisse's successful accomplishments recently. I can’t wait to see the fountain in person.
