No I agree with you . Despite its interesting volumes and shapes , the materials chosen (widely used glass curtain walls and sketchy yellow brick or prefab on the western facade) don't give a nice overview . I know it's still just a render and a lot could change or not even look like it , but what I dislike the most is the different shades or ''colors'' of glass that seem to be used and if you look at the CHUM , the result is an inconsistent wall that creates a huge discolored and lifeless canyon . I rather have one shade or ''color'' of glass all the way long or something that looks more like the first CHUM building (the one directly over Ville Marie autoroute) .
I understand the diversity the architects probably tried to create on both sides of the building here with the big balconies but I urge them to reconsider this design . Either use loggias and integrate them into the walls or don't use anything yellow , the lot is located in one of the most prestigious places in town , yellow seems out of context .
