  1. So Guy street us still blocked at Rene Leveque? It's been closed for almost a year now, when will it open up.
  2. Thanks I am on the syndicate for the condo building across the street and we need to speak to the person in charge of the project and could not find it.
  3. Does anyone know who the developer for the project is? I know Reliance is the construction company, but there is not signs, website, sales info on the project as all. Really weird considering that they started construction and are almost finished the excavation phase, and are not trying to sell any units!
  4. Yah, I did that, we will see. Thanks for the help!
  5. That is why we are trying to discuss with the city, the reality is that the bins would be blocking the whole bike lane as the garbage truck is not going to be carefully placing the bins back in the correct position, they will pick up the bin and place it wherever they can to get to the next bin, so that will either be right on the bike path or directly on the street. And in winter, even worse....currently our snow removal truck will make room for us if the street is not cleared of snow, can't do that with the current plan.
  6. Our garbage bins are the large metal container type, 6 of them, that have to be picked up by a forklift garbage truck, the truck needs direct access to the bins, it can't drive over any bike path barriers or onto the sidewalk to get to the bins, and once empties it currently needs to be placed across the street to get to the next bin.
  7. Not worried about plants, worried about garbage bin placement and hitting a biker....
  8. The plan for William between Guy and Chatham makes no sense, for the block between De seigneur and Chatham. It shows on Page 37 one lane in each direction, then a bike lane in either direction, then the sidewalk. The Le Canal development has their garage opening for 4 buildings on that block, 500 cars going in and out, along with that, it is where we place our garbage and recycling bins( we use up so much space currently, there is no street parking during the week on our side of the street to make room for the garbage bins!) 1. Placing a bike lane in front of a garage opening is going to be very dangerous. We have already put a warning light in either direction when the garage door opens and still it is ignored by people walking and bikes currently. Bikers on bike lane are not going to be looking for cars pulling out of a garage. that is crazy! 2. Where is our building going to place our garbage bins, are we suppose to block the street? Our management company has been trying to get answers from the city(once we learned of the upcoming contruction), with no answers yet and then this gets published.
  9. I believe that is just the Co-op being built , the condo are 2 separate buildings in front of the canal, yet to go up. that is why the windows/quality don't look premium.....
  10. All hydro lines were removed from William this week. *Nice!
  11. I am in the unit closest to the factory. From where I am there is no smell ( 4th floor) and Is dod not know there was a smell problem to be honest, however when they vent steam is sounds like a steam train coming through. First time I heard it I freaked out. At first they vented one a week or so, but lately I only heard anything about once a month, so its getting better. The noise is bad to 30 sec once a month now, unless they re now venting when I am not home. But yah when I realized what was happening I knew there would be a problem with the CO-OP, I can't imagine how bad the sound would be if you are across the street.

The first two floors are going to be commercial space and the 3rd floor will be residential.
  13. To answer your question chaughten, phase 3 will be next to that cement structure. So you have Phase two and a cement structure already built. The cement structure is going to be landscaping between phase 2 and 3. Next to that where that have just started perparing to dig is where they will lay the foundation for phase 3 and 4.
  14. I had only three mods since I am in a first time home buyers unit that are not suppose to be modified to keep the price down. I upgraded to quartz countertops, added the air con and the glass shower panel in the bathroom. Result was very good, I was happy with the result.
