Somewhat related to this thread... "Nouveau poste de ventilation sur la ligne orange"
http://journalmetro.com/actualites/montreal/188743/nouveau-poste-de-ventilation-sur-la-ligne-orange/
-
Do the Seville residents know something we don't? I walked by an ad that said "Starbucks in February" and "Adonis very soon!" (also 1850$ for a 937 sqft, yeesh)
-
Screw the Sax. This shouldn't be torn down.
-
Saint-M's neighbor building. Then when Univers goes up, that's it for ugly parking buildings in the area.
-
woah, nice job. Makes me wanna play Katamari Damacy in Griffintown.
-
Just wondering if that brown brick building will also go down?

Not a positive sign

They don't make 'em like that anymore. Damn, I really hope they don't have to bring this down.
-
Am I the only one who sees a resemblance to Battery Park here? If it's anything like that, I'll be in line to buy something -- anything.
-
Looks like my thread was deleted instead of being merged...
Anyway, Reliance will be in charge of construction. They have a banner and container on site as we speak.
I though for sure Gramercy would fall prey to Oro/Victoire/Avenue/etc but looks like it might just happen after all!
-
Noticed something interesting today. The construction workers are using the top of the parking building next door as a temporary workplace to load up the crane.
I'm assuming that's because they're short on space on Saint-Maurice, still I found that to be clever. They can just drive up their materials to the top of the building too.

I said wow...
-
Couple things:
1) Nice big crane on site this morning. Probably working on the roof.
2) This building is now visible anywhere on Atwater between Tupper and Sherbrooke, due to the leaves falling. Never noticed this before.
3) Project should go under "Construction"!!! Took me a while to find this thread.
-
Now visible from southwest corner of Square Victoria (think Victoire sale office)
-
There's a huge crane (Mammoet) on site since this morning. Whole northern grassy area is cordoned off.
Probably something related to the nearby Ville-Marie Tunnel service facility. Still, first time seeing heavy machinery there.
-
Sales office opened today.
-
............. the G-spot. Truly a mystery.
-
The sales office is going to be spectacular! The scale model was delivered this morning (partially visible).
-
There's a new banner on the building for a demolition/decontamination company.
-
Only ten years ago, but still interesting. Mostly commercial changes on Ste-Catherine, but also construction of the Demetrius, Cinema Parisien, St-James United Church restoration, and a few others!
-
I could barely remember what the church used to look like before 2005, so I searched online and found this good set of before/after pics.
-
Une photo! Comme ça!
Hey!! That's where I work
-
Will anything be built where the crane is currently installed? It features prominently from my balcony, wonder if I'll get an addition to my skyline.
-
The small banners have been up for sometime. The V is new from this morning. It's huge, four stories tall! I certainly didn't roll my eyes at it.

I see. Last I heard the Adonis was still a rumor, much less coming soon. First time hearing about the Starbucks personally.
