Voila tout ce qui reste.
I'm really curious to know what this used to be back in the day and what it's being used for today. That's the wall to the Pub Victoria terasse, and I think the Lofts Victoria owners have a terasse on top of that thing. But what's inside??!
Anyway much like what happened to Pitstop in Griffintown, it's quite obvious that construction of 685 Saint-Maurice won't be kind to this structure. It's already looking like ruins and it'll only get worse. Some of those stones look ready to fall on someone's head.

Ikea was at the current Winners location.

Why would a high end condo project want to be associated with Canadian tire ? do they plan to open a McDonalds as well
This was in reference to the original post:
Didn't think about it this way

Syfy’s newest original scripted series Helix from Sony Pictures Television began production this past weekend in Montreal, Canada.
I think they were setting up on Avenue-Des-Canadiens yesterday at 5PM. I saw no-parking signs with HELIX on them and teamsters emptying a truck in front of St-Hubert BBQ. They might still be there this morning.

Well that's a useless comment without pics
And that's a pretty sad attitute on mtlurb in general. It's too bad people here are so incredulous. Or is SKYMTL a known liar?

The first Canadian Tire Express store opened today in Toronto. I wonder if that's the concept they'll bring to L'Avenue?

Wow -- I don't know. I always google: "mtlurb project-name", so I had not noticed the bizarre section.

one of murals is painted (if you can call it that) by a vandal who goes by the name of NIXON
Nice find. I wish I could catch one of these douchebag toys in the act one day!

I agree. I'm 30, target market for sure, young professional, working in Old Montreal, looking to buy a place in the near future...not interested in this hipster, graffiti marketing approach. It's wack.
They're not going to convince me the area or project is "cool" by doing ghetto parking lot parties.
Same here (on all accounts actually!!!)

Recouvrir l’autoroute coûterait 10 fois moins cher
So now we have both Philippe Couillard and Richard Bergeron including the 720 coverup on their platform.
IMHO Odds it'll happen? Slim to none.

At this rate the structure will be completely torn down by the end of the week!!

A new sign on the door says:
"80% sold, demolition soon"

I'm really happy they preserved and restored that top cornice. I'll be supporting this food court.

J'aimais bien Chien Chaud Victoire!
They're just across the street now.

Peut-être même depuis son ouverture
Disagreed. I think it was quite classy in the '70s. In fact you can tell they are going back to their roots with this "new" style.

They just put up a new render on the fence this morning. Maybe you could compare. New machinery on site, at least 20 workers. Looks like this got kicked into high gear!
