I hate brown and green
personal issue
however, with all construction in Montreal being blue glass - it may be a good contrast

Honestly, the only thing that can compete with any other city is our diversity, trying to be skyscraper city on the cheap is not what Montreal should aspire to be, scale projects like Maison Alcan or Commerce Mondial should be what Montreal aims to be - respectful of the past, human scale, and integration with the built fabric.
non-descript towers that are common to every market like the CH condos shoukd not be our Glory

I simply can’t warm up to Griffintown - if saw any of these buildings in any other city - I would not be envious and want them in Montreal, Worst, they are at the forefront of the skyline - representing the worst of development greed in maximizing square footage with mediocre to cheap materials.

The red columns defeat the purpose of a glass ceiling floating above

I don’t like the shape
too wide at the top and the curve feels odd I stead of adding grace I find it disturbing

Retraction from previous commment
oh no!!!!
this is terrible -
I would consider this to be the best part of Downtown Montreal
Human scale and a total succesful mash-up of contemporary styles built into and existing fabric
the rest of the new Towers (CH and proposed BN, Cadillac Fairview, Children’s, etc...) belong elsewhere in Anywhere America.

The new configuration place Bonaventure much too close to the park and water.

How can they let something so disturbingly ugly be built next to Gare Windsor. Do they not have to respect some sort of heritage protection rules?
The CH condo towers are no beauties either. The downtown area would have done better without these condos.

What would be the cost to do a tunnel between l’Acadie and Viau?
make it an automatic Toll if needed. -
All these projects look alike and bring no life to the hood

Burry the highway... and create a green space to play and relax next to modern multi-function towers
Longueuil has no height limit
why does it not just build the tallest skyscraper looking onto Montreal!?

Why does it have to take 10 years?

Makes total sense to have the station across the street from all the new towers coming.
wow
and the land where the SPVM becomes another possible tower site

Griffintown is horrible - no one can sell me on the bland dorm room feeling. A mix of Laval and Taschereau at best. If this is “Design” and Innovative ... people need to get out and travel. This area could have been spectacular. Instead it was left to developers to speculate - building one cheap ugly scar after another. An insult to the history of the Canal. Most of the ETS is no better - hiding the best it has.

Complexe Desjardins c comme le sous-sol chez mon onc qui rajoute chaque 5 ans une quétainerie de chez CDN Tire. Un toit en verre aurais été si simple
