In 150 years, long after we're all gone, a promoter will want to build 287m over the townhouses and someone will yell that these have to be preserved for posterity.  Obviously, in 2171, the Enticy will serve as a guide.

I wonder if the townhouses will be considered patrimoine in year 2171.

Condos of that size are AirBnB bait.  Or a pied-à-terre for people who've moved outside the city in the last few years but still want a downtown unit.

As Montreal (hopefully) rebounds, its something we're actively looking at too, though the layout of this one vs others is just atrocious.

Lots of PAT. I know a lot of people that live in Trois-Rivières and Quebec City that come into town a couple times per week for work. Makes more sense for them to have a PAT.

And lots of students with rich parents.

Oh come on, if this was true, it would have leaked out already.

Plus, let's be honest, outside low taxes and low regulations, why the hell would anyone move to Florida? Covid deaths are through the roof, the governor is an authoritarian figure who is willing to take away funding from public schools. Corruption is through the roof, the infrastructure is worse than Quebec, climate change mitigation is non-existent there, crime is spiking, COL is much higher, QOL is so much lower than what you find here, etc... take it from someone who lived there and had a business there. Sure taxes are higher there, but factor rents, wages, COL, tax-credits, etc... you're better off here.

Depends on your business model. If you compete on the international stage, it is extremely difficult to compete and provide competitive products and services if you’re handicapped by heavy taxes such as the case here in Quebec. Not bashing, just stating reality.
