What we know of Prével's proposition looks much better for me. I'm of the opinion that not everything has to be about heights and skylines. Curious to see how the Oakridge project translates at street-level. Looking at the surroundings, such a proposition would work way better for Place Vertu, imho.
Well I look forward to seeing what the other phases look like.
I'm just not 100% sold on the design.

Looking good, I assume they'll finish the part near the Biosphere eventually?

After speaking with Concordia reps about the project, (my real estate professors and associate deans who were involved with the failed bids) i found out that Concordia did bid for the land many times not just twice and they were outbid in the end. The CSU which is separate from the board of governors of Concordia were the ones whining to the news. The school has no more space and is thinking about acquiring another piece of land nearby to build another tower 25+ floors minimum. This is because JMSB is 15 floors and built in 2009 and is already full 10 years later. It seems the school wants to avoid the same mistakes as last time by building a taller building. The two pieces of land of interest by the school are the 2140 Rue Guy Parking lot and the Parking lot behind Restaurant Beatrice where the proposed Waldorf Astoria Montreal was. I do not know the height limits of these two lots so if anyone has that information that would be great so we could know if that's feasible.
When I was at Concordia a few years ago the 8th floor in the JMSB was still not in use. Have they finally opened it?

I am the only one thinking the PVM needs a good spray to clean it up?
Or a re-clad a la First Canadian Place.

I wouldn't mind a second tower if one was taller then the other, but please no more twins in that area.

Pourquoi ne suis-je pas du tout excité de cette nouvelle? Ou même de UNIQLO en soi?
Am I missing something?
Best store ever!!! Quality clothing and fair prices. Japanese design at it best.
Now we need MUJI.

That parking lot is screaming for a tower to be built.

I usually keep my mouth shut to avoid being negative, but this is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.
Sorry but for real.

Best view of the skyline in my opinion is driving in on the Champlain bridge.
Will be even better when it's completed.
