Bizarroide. Cet endroit n'existe juste pas tel que configuré par l'esquisse. À cet endroit précis se trouve l'entrée du centre sportif. Et il n'y a aucunement d'escalier en béton à gauche. Donc où sera véritablement l'entrée de Desjardins?

La tour "Torre Mayor" au Mexique ressemble à la tour des Canadiens, mais avec le côté noir en verre ... Qu'en pensez-vous?

Funny you say this ... my friend from France has been studying in MTL and last summer her family visited... they did all of Quebec and when I asked her what they felt about Quebec city they said they preferred Montreal ... They said in France we have all that stuff like castles, and old buildings, but Montreal has something France does not have ... interesting indeed ... I love Quebec city... but I felt this comment interesting.

5 minutes lorsqu'il fait froid comme aujourd'hui ça peut paraître comme une éternité. De plus un branchement au RÉSO pourrait être un argument de vente additionnel. Imagines un touriste qui est au Holiday Inn et qui a des billets pour un événement au Centre Bell avec un temps comme aujourd'hui. Avec un branchement au RÉSO cette personne pourrait laisser manteau et bottes à l'hôtel et aller au Centre Bell le plus légèrement vêtu que possible.

Imaginez si tous les nouveaux projets autour de Lucien L'Allier aurait voulu construire un nouveau tunnel souterrain, ça serait compliqué et coûteux. Même TDC2, qui est juste en face du métro, a choisi une passerelle à place, il doit y avoir une raison pourquoi.

Je peux me tromper mais je crois savoir que les promoteurs ne jugent pas bons de relier leurs nouveaux édifices résidentiels au RÉSO parce qu'il y aurait une (fausse) perception à l'effet qu'un branchement au RÉSO diminuerait le sentiment de sécurité des résidents.

De toute facons, c'est une marche de 5 minutes pour se rendre à Lucien l'allier.

Il devient clair que beaucoup d'édifices au centre-ville mérite 10 étages +, mais que voulez-vous Montréal a une ''fixation '' morbide pour les tours de 120 mètres....pendant ce temps à Toronto, Calgary et même Edmonton on s'en donne à cœur joie avec des tours de 150 mètres et +

Actuellement, il n'y a pas d'édifices de 150 mètres à Edmonton, un seul en construction. Il y a deux bâtiments de +150 mètres en construction à Calgary, Montréal a trois bâtiments de +150 mètres en construction. Arrête donc tes histoires qu'on est tourjours le pire des pires.

Right behind that lot, there is a small building that is demolished, only the foundation is left. I went to check it out not too long ago and discovered that there's a homeless guy living in a tent there: Google Maps

Driving into downtown via the 20. The lighting gives a totally different look to the skyline. Hopefully more buildings follow suit.

It also has a massive impact from the look out, it really rejuvenates the skyline at night.

You think that 1 and 2 are done!?!?! If that's the case, I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised!

1) Stephen Bronfman has pretty much confirmed that the financing is in place and that now they are waiting on the leagues' approval to try to negotiate a loan from the government.

2) Conderre is quoted as saying that they have shown some proposals for a stadium to the commissioner, but that he can't talk about details in public.

TDC1 is hideous and looks dated already. Unbelievable how cadillac fairview approved this prefab monster instead of glass. The tower screams 60's design!! smh

I would have liked if they had taken a few design cues from 1250 RL and rounded the long beige side and added more glass. How would you guys "fix" TDC?

I think that this project has been officially abandoned guys, which might not come as a surprise to some of you. I decided to try my luck and write Sixty Hotels to ask them about the status of the project, and to my great surprise, the interim president of Sixty Hotels answered. Upon asking what's happening, he said: "[...], thanks for writing but that hotel project is not happening at this point. We hope you will stay in some of our other properties when you travel!"

I know this isn't an official announcement, but the contrast between this and the initial announcement says a lot. Here's a copy of the entire conversation, and yes I know there's a typo in the email tittle:
