Près du quart des unités de la phase 1 sur la rue Basin sont vendues, ils prévoient le début du creusage en novembre pour une livraison à l'été 2019.

I spoke to a rep the other day who said they sold over 30% already.... Hmmm not that  don't believe you but i'd rather be right where more was sold haha

  2. Well I can say I work in Lasalle, I drive from Lachine, and over a 10 minute drive there are two expansions, along with one brand new commercial/industrial being built and two places that went up for rent a month ago and are already rented out. So there is definitely something going on, when it will actually become a landlord's market is yet to be seen. None the less Lasalle is heating up.

J'ai été surpris de voir que Arbora 2, en construction, ne se rende pas jusqu'à la rue William comme sur les plans. Les condos de cette partie sont pourtant en vente.

    Quelqu'un a des infos?

Maybe there will be adding a sidewalk, as there currently is not one on that side of the road. The building would then be very close to that new sidewalk.

Often they have the same construction team building phase one and two. Otherwise they would have to pay for a second team to work alongside the first one. Increases costs!

Then launch sales for phase 2 and build the two phases simultaneously, at least for the excavation and foundations.

  5. Alexandre Amancio and Guy Laliberté launch a new entertainment company and will be hiring 150 people in Montreal, to be housed in Maison Alcan.

    ANNOUNCING REFLECTOR ENTERTAINMENT

    ALL NEWSMay 25th, 2017

Reflector Entertainment, a Lune Rouge company, was launched today. Co-founded by Alexandre Amancio and Guy Laliberté, Reflector Entertainment is a multiplatform business that develops intellectual property in Quebec, with a view to distributing it internationally and reaching a wide-ranging audience. Movies, television series, video games, novels and comic strips are just some of the platforms Reflector will be using to bring its worlds and creations to life.

Founded more than a year ago, Reflector is helmed by Alexandre Amancio (former creative director of Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Unity) and Guy Laliberté. By joining forces, they have enabled the rapid development of multiplatform ideas and concepts, some of which are already in production.

According to Alexandre Amancio, what makes Reflector unique is “the creation of original content across a wealth of tandem and complementary platforms, under the guidance of a creative brain trust.” He explained that “several agreements have already been signed with major industry players, and we will be unveiling a number of new storyworlds in the near future.” Reflector has entered into a partnership with Unity Technologies, developers of the high-performance game engine, and is currently developing a project with global independent studio Entertainment One.

Guy Laliberté added, “Quebec’s prime asset is its creativity. Reflector Entertainment is the embodiment of this unique strength that sets us apart. Our partnership aligns with the mission of Lune Rouge, which aims to support the next generation of entrepreneurs. We have the best resources and are developing worlds here in Montreal, intended for an international market.”

More than 150 positions to be filled

Located at Maison Alcan in the heart of Montreal, Reflector Entertainment is currently seeking more than 150 employees in the gaming and creative development fields.

Some old farts will always make a way of life out of bitching about the city (for the reasons you describe Rocco), but for what I know, there's a lot of anglos of the younger generation who are pretty excited to live in this city nowadays. And that for me is a good sign.

Absolutely correct, I am one of those very people! Anglophone from Montreal, english parents, family and friends and I love this city. I even go to school in french because hey ETS has a good rep for what I want so that's where I go. I do however know those people Rocco is talking about and let me tell you they aggravate me just as much as they may to any francophone but I always remind them of just how much is going on and how being a bitching /angry person will never actual benefit anyone. I and many of my friends are here to stay and work and build this city because it is just as much our city as anyone else's. I hate being lumped into a bunch of angry pessimistic shit heads who will undoubtedly always complain no matter how good the news on our city. Just as a side note I know lots of french speaking Montrealers who also have that very poor attitude towards our city. Anyway, bonne fete Montreal!!! haha

On parle de Montréal, mais combien d'étudiants quittent Boston après leur étude ? surement énormément, et beaucoup quittent pour New York fort probablement.

Most notably Mr.Facebook, went to school and started Facebook in Boston and as you may know it is based in silicon valley. I.e no matter how reputable your schools and education you will not keep everyone who went through your system. It's just a matter of keeping a better proportion.

  9. The red brick looks alright, why couldn't they do the whole thing in red brick? Couldn't have cost that much more and wouldn't have looked nearly as bad. I don't understand why they try to make the co-ops stand out, they should just fit in really well as to not bring any attention to them.

C'est un très beau projet. Je me demande quel est le prix des maisons de villes? Sur le site il n'y a aucune de vendue, c'est surprenant.

They are over a million, they come with there own private elevators from the garage.I checked a few months ago and it looked like half were sold, maybe those sales didn't go though or the site is incorrect, not sure.
