I would suspect with all the ice and water coming through the ceiling that it would be not safe. It seems to be a good idea  but the cost to restore it would be to much.I would of like maybe a beer and wine Garden with the tunnel storing the wine so you could do wine tasting.Oh! To dream with other people money can be fun.But like most things in Montreal it going to be history for that tunnel..

Sometimes I can never understand design over function, the balconies should be more user friendly. The building OK but nothing much to write home about. But I guess in the end it's what's inside and the services that are offer and of course how much green your going to have to shell out to live in it. 

Yoo is a thing of beauty, the interior and the exterior are beautiful. The design is high end class. More designs like this would be a welcome addition to Montreal scene.

The problem with the STCUM is they rarely show the design of the station they are working on until its almost completed.They must of had a design of what its going to look like. They one of  the Vendome station.Guess it was nothing special then most likely a boring entrance.

May 25 th 2017 update of the scaled down metro entrance. More windows and less space for the homeless to sleep is there goal.Which should be a safer metro station in the future.

Wow Reading some of the comments it's like don't build nothing in Montreal unless it's a park. So I guess we should do nothing and like in 1976 have everyone move away and for 40 years have nothing big being done. Well if you want you kids to stay and work in Montreal then let's build this city. Lightrail,green buildings smart systems. Then we can complain if the building is ugly or not like we do with art work at the museum.

Wow Chris  What a great film you put together. It honours all that is great about Montreal Quebec and Canada. I lived here all my life and I'm still learning of a new spot to visit and with all the changes  that are happening now like Griffintown and the R.E.M. Light rail planned. Only problem with these Houses if you come home half in the bag. Your going to go to the wrong house. ( they all look alike ) Wish they have design different between the houses.But still great looking houses.

Maybe Trump's Russian friends will secretly buy the building for trump.

WOW Deeworks the photos are great . I love how it's taking shape. I have to admit that the levels of goverment are working well together in reshaping Montreal. Montreal future is sound.

My Question is what ever happened to the street and renovation on the outside of the Bell Center with a screen outside the bell center. Is it still on, did it get canceled. Because since The molson family announced the 100 million budget project to do all that stuff. Please tell me more

Gotta say the the pics Rusty supplied concerning the the Fairfield inn are great but how could they let a hotel get to this disrepair is concerning. I Totally agree blow it up,tear it down or rent it out to a hundred crazy clowns to haunt our dreams. But really the building is Ugly and with all those photos the only thing is a total wine & cheese tear down. 

Thanks for some of the education on the expense on such things. I still hope the city, Government of Quebec &,Canada  do a cost spread sheet on a website with all the cost like the city does at the end of the year.But with greater detail. Please educate me and the public would be  my message dear Governments then as a outsider we can not have these negative thoughts concerning these projects. I will never understand why ? That it could cost 400 million to take down a bridge.I want it to be published a step by step cost process. Welders,ship barges etc: Because when I see a city say a road is going to cost a million dollars to replace I can't believe it. Maybe I just don't have a grasp of the cost of things now a days. But it seems as a tax payer we are once again being screwed,and payouts ,bribes etc: are being done. 

I imagine with all the construction and pounding of steel support beams into the ground, We are going to experience several of these sewage drains collapses. The piping is old in the underground and unlike Rock n roll. I don't think shack rattle and roll work so well here.So when driving in Montreal always have a bottle of water and a bag of gummy bears until your car gets pulled up from the underground.

I believe that the children hospital is a eye sore and I like the plans of the developer and I also see bending over backwards to put social housing and a community centre which decreases full earning potential from the property.Plus they will plant trees and flowers which is not there already.Trent is just worried that increasing the area value will take away value in westmount. Keep progress going it been shut down for to long.

I like them to keep the name the same.I always think only name new things with new names. Old names have history and its cost its citizens to rename signs business cards and other expenses.So leave things the way things are. They are building a park near the bell centre now that would be a great place to have a *parc Rocket Richard in a hockey themed park.

The project even though the process has been kind of fishy in its process. But what else is new. I Like the project but the city should add a couple of floors to the parking structure nearby.That way it would relieve some of the parking issues.The owner of the property says he will contribute money to social housing.I get that promise of money upfront.Because once the project gets done its amazing how they forget those promises.

I agree I'm disabled and I use a roller walker. My only wish is that elevators were not mostly to be installed in 2022 wish they have some of them spread around The system. Because I'm looking forward to travail on the metro again.
