How would it be the same square footage to sell by building to, lets say 50 floors instead of 44 and why would they need to build skinnier?? Please explain. Also, do not assume that I am not pleased with another building going up on that lot. I am mainly pointing out the lack of vision of some of these Montreal developers.

CF and Broccolini have proven over and over again that there is a market for tall condo towers here in Montreal. Why do other developers shy away from building to the maximum height allowed (e.g. Soltice, 1000 de la montagne)? hmmm.. i think lack of vision is the most likely reasoning. Please dont bring up market conditions. These downtown condos have been selling like hot cakes for the past decade or more!!

Developers are finally growing some balls in Montreal! Now all we need is CF to change its thinking for 700 Peel and build two mixed use 50 floor towers instead of that joke render they have now!

C'est clairement pas 48 etages. Dapres le rendu, on compte 39 a 44 etages max (si on compte les etages basiliere et penthouse double).

Meme les plans de 2011 ne sont plus adequate pour une ville de notre taille. Il faut laisser les developeur batir plus haut au sud de rene-levesque a lexception du secteur vieux montreal.

Yikes! Why not just replace the office buildings with condo towers or do mixed use like brocolini has??? They would get much more bang for their buck and they could get it off the ground quicker!!

I would expect them to go to maximum height for this lot. Could be looking at another 50 floors!!
