No news on this one unfortunately.. but there is a building that will be up for sale on Rene Levesque O in the near future!
I hope it’s the 4 story brick building on the corner of St-Alexandre. It’s looking more and more out of place in the area.

I am pretty sure they are redoing the side wall.. they cant call this a luxury rental property with that nasty looking cement wall..
On the scaffolding at the base, they're advertising that it'll be finished in May. With a schedule that aggressive I have to anticipate the worst case scenario.

Just because I love you guys, let's add some genuine facts: Project's height reach the city limit for the lot, more than a thousand condo units (that's a big first for a single project in MTL), 100% residential (no mixed-use intended). Contenders are Lemay, MSDL and BLTA. That's more than I can say right now...Expect to have further news in January!
a thousand condo units?? wow that's huge. Gotta be 2 towers then, right?

Somewhat off-topic, but the Honda dealership building will be demolished early 2019. "Condos" is what they told me.
Do we have a thread for this project? I saw the other day that they're starting to remove all the cars from their show floor. Not sure if anyone has managed to dig up any info from the city or elsewhere on what this project could be.

Kinda wish they did something about the sides; having that concrete wall facing Bleury is looking more and more out of place as the area gets developed, but I'm happy that at least we won't have such a large abandoned building downtown anymore.

The temperature gradient between the warm interior of the concrete and the cool surface is problematic, but the main issue is how dry cold air is. This means that a lot more water is pulled out of the concrete than during warmer days. Both issues can be solved by covering the concrete+formwork in plastic (to create a mini greenhouse), but the colder (and dryer) it gets the harder it is to maintain.
