Very very plain looking project, but density is always good!
I have to agree with Malek when he sometimes says "and people don't want to live next to a highway?!" Here we are, right by Decarie! Close as it gets!
I didn't believe it when you said it, and today I was visiting the area, and it was literally right next to it. Man that's going to be loud.

Qu'est-ce que c'est la couleur grise? Armatures d'acier?
C'est la voiture de l'intérieur (blvd Decarie)

When does it start?
I don't know if this is considered a start, but I noticed that they took down that roof/ceiling that was covering the entrance to the metro.
Assuming that everything has been transferred to the new JMSB building, they should start soon.

its coming along quite nicely
yay a better airport finally!
I was just there on wednesday and it looked very nice. I say by November it should be open.
It reminds me of the Vancouver airport and in how they have a hotel embedded next to the arrivals/departures.

The black material used on the UdeS building is what SHOULD have been used on the Louis Bohème building.
whaaaat? I thought that the Louis Bohème was using the same material as in that photo above. What is LB using instead?

Est-ce qu'il y a une place pour poster les ascenceurs de Bonaventure?
Je vois le meme pour Henri-Bourassa aussi. Ils sont en contruction pour les nouveaux ascenseurs aussi.

I can confirm this. There were Chinese diplomats there on Tuesday for the unveiling of the refurbished Norman Bethune statue.
However, I can't help but feel that they widened the sidewalk on the wrong side of the street. Everyone walks on the sidewalk that's on the side of the Metro, yet the other side of the street got its sidewalk widened instead.
ouais, j'ai passe tout près de temps en temps et j'ai vu le drapeau de la Chine

Yeah, they dug up Guy street last summer to put in the tunnel between the EV building and JMSB .. there are preliminary plans to link up the EV building to the library, which itself is already connected to the Hall building. Once this is done, Concordia students theoretically will never have to go outside! (I will be long graduated by the time this happens though)
I always find it strange to have a class in the Faubourg basement, since I remember seeing Jurassic Park there as a kid, and now having to sit in class in the same area!
That place use to be a movie theater?

what's up with the Hall building's escalators? Why do they break down all the time? And where's the 3rd floor?
I actually spoke to someone who go lost in the 3rd floor in the H-Building.
You can get in there by taking one of the private elevators or through the fire exit stairs.
The 3rd floor is actually just a room for storage. My friend went in there by accident once, and got lost. It was basically janitor equipment and etc. The floor is actually only about 7ft high lol

Does anyone know when the face lift of this building will start?
That building right now is currently the JSMB. Once the new JMSB opens up (hopefully in January) and give everyone the chance to move everything from one building to the other , than they will start on the face lift for that one. If they start it next summer, that would be pretty good.

I'm 32 years old and I still believe the expos will be back in my lifetime.
If it does come back (I honestly hope so). All I want to know is, where would the new stadium be? Because the original planned stadium was suppose to be at the new Jardins Windsor condos.
If they do build a new stadium, it has to be close to downtown and allow easy access to and from the highways.

So what they doing at Lionel Groulx?
Putting in an elevator or something?
Hopefully they also will change the name.
Seeing the dude was an anti-semite, goes to show how the STM operates.
Yes, after the new stations in Laval, this one will be the first station in Montreal, to have an elevator.
They're not going to change the name. The only way that they will change the name is if they change the name of that street. All the metro stations correspond with street names that help guide people.
Out the many proposals that STM received for name changes since they started the metros, the only 2 stations that had name changes was Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke and Guy-Concordia (which only added the name of the university).
Anyway, it would be nice if all metro stations had elevators, but for some I can see that it would be difficult to construct.

The only other Canadian city I know of that uses the Accordian Buses is Vancouver and they started that back in 2002.

That's what I thought also when I first saw this building.
