Marché Saint-Jacques is in the midst of renovating in order to accomodate a medium sized grocery store. I don't think there will be an open air market there anytime soon

There was a small open air market area outside for years. Never been really popular. I live next to Jean-Talon market and i'm there 5-6 times a week. To work a market need a mix of open & indoor space.

If people want an open market in the area they should support the nearby Marché St-Jacques. Gare Viger was also planning a market and never been able to sign anyone.
