  2. Lol you can tell people know next to nothing about football when they decide which team is better by looking at their scores.

Portugal scored 7 goals against N. corea and barely crossed the midfield against spain, same with germany, anyone who has seen spain play knows their attack is incredible, it's just about how many goals they scored, remember that all the teams they played against were defensive from the start, it's about how they move, how they control the ball etc... but then you would have to know something about football.

I can't believe that the people criticizing spain support holland, they've gotten lucky, even dutch players say so, their first half agains brazil was terrible the only reason they won is because of brazil's own goal.

Anyways, don't be surprised if holland starts defending from the beginning of the match today, all teams have played like that against spain.

  3. The player from uruguay was expelled and gyan failed the penalty kick, I agree, he cheated but he uruguay was punished according to the rules.

If gyan had scored that goal no one would even remember that happened.

  4. What, they have shown the best football so far, it's not their fault that their opponents lock themselves in their own field.

Seriously, compare germany against argentina and against spain, argentina let the germans run through their midfield without any resistance, against spain the germans could barely see the ball.

The sad thing is that I don't expect holland to be more aggressive than germany or paraguay, which leads to rather boring matches.

  5. I don't like David Villa, plus Spain knocked off my Portugal, so... yeah. I'll root against the team that beat mine. That's my reasoning :)

I know Spain hasn't won... ever... and it would make for a great story if they did win, but too bad. I'm still rooting for the Netherlands ;)

The netherlands never won the cup either they lost twice in the final with the host countries (germany 74' and argentina 78') which is sad because we never saw johan cruyff, one of the best players in history win the cup.

wow, I've been there and share your opinion, it's depressing and there were no interesting stores other than shoes and cheap electronics.

  8. Speaking as someone who is planning to immigrate to canada, and more precisely quebec, I can say that quebec could make it easier for immigrants.

I studied french in montreal, one of my teachers was a radiologist from algeria but for him to work in his field in quebec he had to take a lot of exams in the span of a few years, and he studied in france.

He sent his resumé and got hired in a hospital in switzerland, that's it, no tedious tests, no long waits, why can't quebec be like that, they lost a radiologist and a fluent french speaker to la suisse. I'm not saying that professionals shouldn't be accredited by quebec, but man they could make the process more simple.

I've heard a lot of people who wanted to immigrate to quebec but it was such a hassle that they went to other provinces, quebec should focus on attracting professionals, not just francophones.

I work for a high tech international company here in mexico, apparently I'm good enough for them but I know I'll have to jump through a lot of hoops to be recognized as an engineer in quebec and I still plan to move there, I guess that tells you how much I like montreal right?
