Skyline shaping up quite nicely!

View from my condo. Not complaining!!

Had a question for those of you that have taken possession of your units. I'm trying to decide whether to go with Bell or Videotron. Just got off the phone with Videotron and apparently the promoter has an agreement with them that would give residents some sort of discount (Videotron rep wasn't able to give me the details of the agreement). I'm aware that with Videotron there will be a special channel to see who's buzzing your unit. Just wondering if any of you could shed some light on any additional advantage and/or discount amount. Much appreciated guys.

Les meubles de Jardin de Ville sont maintenant en place et il y a de l'eau dans la piscine et le planché est fini.

 

Le gym est sur 2 étages, mais je ne sais pas où sera l'espace yoga?

J’y vais au lancement de la phase 3 dans 2 semaines. J’ai vraiment hâte de voir la piscine et gym compléter.

Merci pour ta réponse SynosiK!! J'ai pas ce problème dans notre chambre par ce qu'ont a un "walk-in" avec une porte coulissant pour entré dans le walk in. C'est une des raisons pour l'aquelle ont a choisi le 02 au lieu du 01. Le 01 avais des portes qui s'ouvre pour le rangement dans la chambre et je voulais pas perdre l'espace.

SynosiK, l'unité est le 02. Dit moi, à ta première visite pendant la construction, est ce que t'avais l'impression que l'unité été plus petit que tu pensais?? Mon rep m'a dit que je devrais pas me fier sur l'espace a ma première visite. Je doit avoué, j'ai paniqué un peut. Mais en parlant a des amis que se sont acheter des condos, ils m'ont dit exactement la même chose.

Had a pleasant surprise this weekend as i passed by the sales office to pick my parking spot, my rep had us visit our unit. Here are some pictures i took. I have to say, i'm really happy with my view!!!

Hey guys, here's a little update on the progress of the construction. Just received an email from my sales rep saying that they have completed the roof 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Hopefully they can keep up the pace!!

Synosik, completely agree with you. For us, it was between the 01 and 02 units. I didn't like the layout of the 01 unit, especially that the master didn't have a walk in. Also, priority was to have unobstructed view of city and mountain, therefore we choose unit above 9th floor.

Thanks for your imput SynosiK. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you for the finishings. I extended my island in order to fit my wine fridge. All my finishings, ie. cabinets, backsplash, hardwood, ceramic, kitchen faucet...are all not from their standard selections. I'm also having my walk in done by IdeeRange. So i'm hoping all is as planned. Mind you, i'll make sure of it during my final inspection of the unit before taking posession.

As far as my windows are concerned, i have a corner unit facing north west, so I don't have window walls, but thanks for the heads up!!

Thanks sgandell. That's fantastic that they covered your extra costs. I'm pretty sure not every developer would have done the same. I guess the questions I have would be if A) you added any extras to your unit? and B) if, upon delivery, everything was exactly the way you wanted it to be? Basically, are you satisfied with the final product?

If I'm basing myself on my experience so far, I have no reason to believe that I won't be satisfied. Thanks in advance.

The promotor is Les Developpements du Canal Inc. Same builder as the Solano. I have to say, since we signed in February, the whole process/experience has been fantastic. My rep, Joanie, took the time to accomodate my girlfriend and I. She even had us visit a unit in the Solano which was comparable to the unit we bought at Le Canal (1,000 sq.feet). We chose our finishings a couple of weeks ago, and again, another smooth process. We did make a couple of changes to the kitchen and are waiting to hear back from the cuisiniste in order to give us the ok (ie. pull out cabinets in the pantry and extending the island a couple of inches in order to fit a custom wine fridge as well as adding an extra pantry in thermo).

I visited practically all the projects in Griffintown and surrounding area (Basins, Nordelec, Myst, Walter, District, Lowney, Gallery) before we decided on Le Canal and I'm extremely happy with our decision. The location, the quality of the finishings, the people associated to the project, all top notch. Can't wait to take delivery next year!!

Hey guys, I'm new to the boards but have been following your posts for a while now. I purchased a unit in phase 2 of Le Canal and I'm extremely excited to see the progress they're making in putting up the building.

I passed by the sales office yesterday and my sales rep told me that they are a month ahead of schedule on phase 2. They're currently pouring the 13th. Here's a pic of the progress from yesterday....
