GDS
Its interesting to compare Montreal to other similar cities a little. Its interesting that most countries have some partition between different cities, but both England and France are heavily concentrated in London and Paris. Montreal - 2 Toronto - 8 Merlbourne - 3 Sydney - 2 Vienna - 3 Brussels - 5 Rio de Janeiro - 2 São Paulo - 3 Edinburgh - 2 Copenhagen - 2 Munich - 5 Düsseldorf - 5 Frankfurt - 4 Mumbai - 6 Dublin - 2 Rome - 4 Milan - 3 Mexico City - 2 Amsterdam - 6 Moscow - 6 Singapore - 2 Madrid - 6 Barcelona - 2 Zurich -
jesseps
I thought RBC HQ was still here in Montreal. Top 3 Countries within the Fortune 500 USA - 139 (New York @ 19) Japan - 71 (Tokyo @ 49) China - 46 (Beijing @ 30) Edited July 12, 2010 by jesseps
MTLskyline
I thought RBC HQ was still here in Montreal. The "Legal" head office is, but the decision making HQ is in Toronto.
jesseps
The "Legal" head office is, but the decision making HQ is in Toronto. Hmm... if its "Legally" here... Someone should email Fortune and have them change it
MartinMtl
Hmm... if its "Legally" here... Someone should email Fortune and have them change it What would be the point of that, since we all know that the real HD is in Toronto?
GDS
Assuming that Couche-Tard's purchase of Casey's goes ahead, then they will be added to the list next year around #450 and it is also possible that BCE re-enters around the same level. There are no other companies here that are even remotely close to the 20B mark.
LindbergMTL
Si Hydro-Québec était privatisé à 51 pour cent, je me demande ou' il serait.
jesseps
Si Hydro-Québec était privatisé à 51 pour cent, je me demande ou' il serait. Good question. I would like to see someone try and compile a list of huge companies that are private.
GDS
Si Hydro-Québec était privatisé à 51 pour cent, je me demande ou' il serait. Its at around 12B - it needs to get close to 20B to make the list.
