jesseps
Fast-growing Porter Airlines is spreading its wings further. It is introducing non-stop service between Montreal and Halifax with connecting flights to St. John's via Halifax, starting form June 25 with two daily roundtrips. Halifax and Montreal are among Toronto-based Porter's most popular destinations and the new service connects them directly, said CEO Robert Deluce. "Besides expanding our network, we want to offer additional travel options within the markets we already serve." The schedule of two daily roundtrips will be available for the summer season until Sept. 8. After that, the frequency will adjust to four weekly roundtrips. Porter recently announced stepped-up service in the Toronto-Ottawa and Toronto-Montreal triangle. The carrier, which flies 70-seat turboprops, will have connecting flights to St. John’s from Halifax. One-way fares to Halifax will start at $129, and $159 to St. John’s. These do not include fees and taxes.
