I'd be willing to bet that by the end of the Year, Gates will find a way to hoist himself back to the top. The guy wasn't the richest man in the world for the last 15 years just to lose the title by a few million dollars.

 

By the way, why is Warren Buffet still in the top 5? Didn't he donate 40 billion$ of his personal fortune to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation last year???

I think that happens when he dies, not sure about that though.
