. Quelle histoire d'horreur pour un ancien fleuron de l'économie québécoise.

 

Mais en rétrospective, la vente d'Alcan à Rio Tinto s'est avérée un coup de maître pour les actionnaires dAlcan, dont parmi eux beaucoup de Canadiens et de Québécois. En fait, c'était même plutôt un incroyable coup de chance, car il est douteux que la direction d'Alcan (à l'époque de la vente) ait pu prévoir ce que Rio Tinto n'a pas prévu, soit la dégringolade subséquente des cours mondiaux de l'aluminium.

Delotte in Amsterdam ... Just Wow !

 

The Edge, in Amsterdam, is officially the greenest office building in the world. It's also the testing ground for a radical, highly connected new way of working, where employees have no set workspaces and can dial in their individual climate and lighting preferences via an app. Businessweek's Tom Randall got a first-hand look at the inner workings of this office of the future.

I went on a tour of the Deloitte building here a couple of weeks ago (with someone I know) and while the building may not be as "green" as the one in Amsterdam, the office concept of "no set workspace" is exactly the same.

You have to reserve your spot via an app and no one has precedence over anyone else (a junior auditor and the VP's have to battle it out on an even playing field haha). They also have MANY different types of working spaces, including a few treadmill desks!

Most importantly though, the bathroom doors open with a wave of your hand so you never have to touch them
