Brand new banners, brand new sales office, actual honest-to-goodness human beings inside... Gramercy is going forward

Je suis passé au bureau des ventes aujourd'hui. Les ventes vont bien. Des penthouses ont été vendu notamment à une personnalité connue à Montréal dans le domaine du commerce. Ils ont aussi commençé à travailler à l'intérieur de l'immeuble. L'immeuble en question n'a été que libéré que dernièrement de ses occupants (bureaux).

Sort of unrelated but 1980 Sherbrooke West next door has been undergoing a lot of renovations, especially at night (??) with demolition crews coming in once or twice a week for the past couple months.

 

Earlier this morning, a Mammoet was on site to lift some stuff on top of the building. I wouldn't be surprised if 1980 Sherbrooke will undergo a recladding inside and outside as its next door neighbor renews itself.

I was told 12 sales and as many reservations (out of 41 condos). What really blew my mind is that buyers have been guaranteed an April 2014 move-in date. I had to double-check with the rep. It's true that all units come completely unfinished, but still, hell of a deadline. She couldn't tell me when the crane was going up, but it was "definitely happening". We'll see!

 

And Gramercy got a new neighbor.... not really! I think this is fake frontage for the English language version of 19-2 which was shot in the area recently.

April 26th 2014 -- sorry for the terrible night shot but looks like there was a fire alarm of some kind at 1AM. I could count 4 fire trucks and 5 ambulances. No coppers.

where did you take that picture from ? as far as I know there isn't much on the opposite side of sherbrooke! unless your camera has an insane zoom lens?!
