Because when you are building a city, you also need to have some aesthetics. You have to think how to make it beautiful. It's not only about concrete and asphalt.

The design for the bridge was unveiled FOUR years ago and two days out from cars rolling on it for the first time people are realizing it's not "iconic" enough 😓

Because as soon as anyone on this forum states anything negative during the design enveiling, a lot of people say  "you are negative" and "wait and see".
