La démolition/rénovation a débuté.

 

Les ouvriers s'affairaient a installer une baricade(mur) devant l'édifice.

À l'intérieur ils démolissent.

When do we expect this new mac store to open? It is about time Montreal got this store.

 

For those of you that really want an iPhone just order it on eBay and unlock it yourself. The phone can be unlocked for free and takes any SIM card.

iPhones sold with the 1.1.2 firmware can't be unsimlocked... and Apple will probably release the 1.1.3 firmware tuesday, just to f.... hackers again.

 

The Apple Store is supposed to open "before thanksgiving". American thanksgiving or Canadian, nobody knows...

Hopefully we get the iPhone in Canada before the store opens, or when the store opens. At least by then there should be the 3.5G or 4G (WiMax) chip inside the phone, so surfing the net will be cheaper. $50/month and max 10 GB download decent, but not as nice as the US *sigh* all we can hope for the auction of the spectrums will help.

The structure that has been installed is very imposing.

It really stymies pedestrian circulation on the sidewalk; I'm surprised that the city allowed this.

I was walking by on Sunday and there was a real bottleneck at this spot. I would recommend cordoning off the adjacent parking spaces to allow pedestrian overflow onto the street (temporarily).

Y'avait pas justement des négociations pour qu'Apple achète cet espace de stationnement ? Ou le loue à l'année longue pour laisser toujours libre l'espace entrant du magasin ? Si la ville a refusée un locataire à 100% du temps, je ne crois pas, comme toi, qu'elle le laissera allé pour le temps de la construction.
