So my back-up (external) hard drive just failed :(

Is there anywhere in the city I can go and see if there is any way of recovering the data?

worse thing is i finally turned the drive off a few days ago, seeing it was on constantly and i haven't used it for a few days. it was turned off properly, i turn it back on today and it started to click *sigh*

i hope there is a way to recover all my photos and documents

another thing is all my music i bought from itunes was on there also... god only knows how much was sitting on there

bonne chance

  • 4 weeks later...

You wont believe this. I opened the enclosure a while back tapped the drive a few times, weeks ago. I felt like plugging it in today and ta-da it works lol

Now I am saving everything onto my computer so if the drive fails again I will have everything, time for me to buy another drive and hook that baby up to the airport extreme. Plus I'm going another step further going to save all the stuff on my other computer. 3 back-ups are better then 1 lol

update: found the root of the problem it was the power adapter, some reason it seems like it fried.
