The Globe and Mail relançait en début de semaine le débat sur l'instauration d'une monnaie unique en Amérique du Nord en publiant un article sur le rejet de l'option par les fonctionnaires fédéraux du ministère des Finances.Est ce que vous étes dacoord pour une monnaie unique ou non ?

i'm not sure how you could be in favour of that, habsfan. a single north american currency would be dictated by the US. canada would have no say over its own fiscal policy! considering what a mess US finances are right now that's hardly a comforting thought.

 

sure, things change, but why would we want to merge a strong canadian dollar with a weak american dollar controlled by a government that sees nothing wrong with running enormous deficits?

Canada would have no say at all about the monetary policy.

 

Canadian monetary policy is hurting Quebec at the moment and we're part of the country, imagine if the US dictated things... ooof.

Example: Royaume-Uni qui a gardé le Pound-Sterling, et n'a pas changé au Euro.

1 EUR = 0.668390 GBP 1 GBP = 1.49613 EUR

 

Aussi, un dollar en commun ferait mal à nos exports. Pourquoi est-que les Américains achèterons de nous, si ils peuvent acheter d'eux-mêmes pour la même prix.
