Ça y est, c'est fait. Le Toronto Star l'annonçait cette semaine, la nouveauté québécoise qui fait fureur à New York n'est pas mannequin super mince. Au contraire.

 

Deux Canadiens, Jeffrey Jah et Lyman Carter, ont ouvert The Inn LW12 il y a un peu plus d'un mois. Le restaurant d'inspiration «canadienne» propose un menu qui a plutôt des saveurs très internationales.

 

À part un plat bien d'ici : la poutine. Et elle fait fureur : le restaurant a déjà vendu 1600 poutines, à 13 $ la portion. Selon le quotidien torontois, la rumeur est excellente pour la bonne vieille poutine.

 

Vraiment, le plat a gagné en noblesse depuis que le restaurant montréalais Au Pied de cochon a créé sa version au foie gras.

 

À Toronto, le chef Jamie Kennedy offre lui aussi sa version de la pyramide de pommes de terre frites, avec chorizo. Chic, la poutine.

Do american's need more food like this ... soon all of them will be over weight, another reason why Americans will blame us

I've been to quite a few cities in the U.S., and NYC doens't have as many "fat" people as teh rest of america. New-Yorkers walk more than the average american, hence they are in better shape!

A lot of the fat americans comes from the south or the midwest, where they used to eat a lot, but also work a lot (loads of farms among other things) nowadays, they kept their ancestors food habits (grits, fried chicken, potatoes...) but they have office job instead, hence the major weight gains.

I should really go down to the states and sell my metabolism, probably make a fortune off all the people who want to lose weight
