Service links two of the world's leading aerospace industry hubs

MONTREAL, Aug. 28, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada announced today the introduction of year-round service between Montreal and Toulouse starting June 4, 2020. The five-times weekly flights will provide the only year-round service between the two cities and be operated with Air Canada's Airbus A330-300 fleet, featuring Signature Class, Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Special introductory fares from Montreal to Toulouse start as low as $729 CDN round-trip, all-in, and tickets are now available for purchase at aircanada.com or through travel agents.

"This new route is our sixth destination in continental France and represents further growth from our Montreal hub, where Air Canada has launched 35 new global routes since 2012. Apart from its attractions as a business travel market, Toulouse is also known for its rich heritage spanning 2,000 years, abundant culture and its culinary scene. At the same time, as this route will be the only year-round service to south west France from Canada, it will strengthen Montreal's position as both a business and tourism destination while making it a premier North American Atlantic gateway, conveniently connecting customers to Air Canada's extensive North American network," Mr. Rovinescu concluded.

Air Canada's Montreal-Toulouse flights begin June 4, 2020 and will be operated with a 292-seat, Airbus A330-300. The aircraft offers three cabins of service, including Air Canada Signature Service with fully lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy service. All flights provide for Aeroplan accumulation and redemption, Star Alliance reciprocal benefits and, for eligible customers, priority check-in, Maple Leaf Lounge access at the Montreal hub, priority boarding and other benefits.

Excellente nouvelle pour Montréal, 3 nouvelles destinations sur AC (GRU, SEA, TLS) s'ouvrent dans les prochains mois qui renforceront davantage la position de hub international de la ville! Je ne m'attendais pas à celle-là du tout, et j'ai bien hâte de voir la suite!

Nantes devrait suivre et clôturer la liste des destinations en France métro.Lille(1.3 millions) est trop proche de CDG et de BRU.Strasbourg pas assez grande(600k) même si riche.Montpellier trop petite (550.000 hab)dans 10 ans peut être?On oublie souvent de citer Mulhouse desservie par Transat même si l'aéroport est à cheval sur Suisse et France.

Genève grandit de plus en plus coté France voisine comme on dit la bas(vu les prix délirants de l'immo en Suisse). 

Transat pourrait faire un test sur LUX ou il n'y a pas de liaisons vers l'AmNord,c'est pas hyper grand(600.000 habitants + Belgique,France,Allemagne voisines,d'ou viennent des centaines de milliers de frontaliers).Luxembourg est un paradis fiscal,énormément de banques,Amazon Europe etc ....très haut pouvoir d'achat.

C'est certain que ca a quelque chose à avoir, probablement un contrat entre AC et Airbus garantissant un nombre de siege X par année, surtout que ce sera opéré par un avion mainline (et non pas un avion de rouge) et 5x semaine et à l'année dès le départ, donc pas un marché loisir exclusivement

LUX serait plus une destination de Air Canada, Transat est plus orienté loisir et non clientèle d'affaire, mais la demande n'est surement pas la, et en plus à partir de LUX il y plusieurs choix avec 1 connection qui s'offrent autant vers YUL, que le reste du monde puisqu'ils sont déjà connecté à la majorité des hubs européens
