Normand Hamel Posted May 10, 2019 Share Posted May 10, 2019 Le taux de chômage au Québec à son plus bas depuis 1976 La Presse Canadienne Le taux de chômage a reculé de 0,1 point de pourcentage au Canada en avril pour s'établir à 5,7 % alors qu'il a été mesuré à 4,9 % au Québec, son plus faible depuis 1976, en baisse de 0,3 point de pourcentage. L'emploi a progressé de 107 000 au pays, une hausse notable de l'emploi à temps partiel ayant été enregistrée chez les jeunes selon ce que révèle vendredi l'Enquête sur la population active de Statistique Canada. L'emploi a avancé de 38 000 en avril au Québec. Par rapport à 12 mois plus tôt, l'emploi a progressé de 75 000 ou de 1,8 % au Québec, la totalité de la hausse s'étant produite depuis octobre dernier. Au Nouveau-Brunswick, l'emploi a reculé de 3900 le mois dernier, la hausse de l'emploi à temps partiel ayant été plus que contrebalancée par la baisse de l'emploi à temps plein. Le taux de chômage a peu varié pour s'établir à 8 %. Comparativement à 12 mois plus tôt, l'emploi était pratiquement inchangé au Nouveau-Brunswick. En Ontario, l'emploi a augmenté de 47 000 en avril. Le taux de chômage a été mesuré à 6 % sous l'effet d'une augmentation du nombre de personnes actives sur le marché du travail.
