Doug - British Airways will be back in YUL. Right now there's no agreement between Canada and the UK - UK citizens are not allowed in the country and Canadians must quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in the UK.

Unfortunately there's very few UK Nationals who live in Quebec, and few Quebeckers who live in the UK - unlike Toronto/Vancouver. Conversely, Air France flies to Montreal but not Toronto nor Vancouver at this time.

Even Air Canada isn't flying Montreal-Heathrow and I assure you they will be back.

Ok thanks that is reassuring. I saw they had YUL on their future schedule back In May so it was unsettling to see us removed especially while everyone else was added back. It’s a good point about Air Canada  though, I forgot about that. Fingers crossed.

Air China seems to have resumed PEK-YUL today. Dont know if it's a one off or not, because on their website, schedules show the route resuming on Sept 2 only. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/f

Boeing will no longer produce the 747.

The double decker airplane is now dead.

Even the 747-8?

The need for quad engine planes is dead.

Unless its a no frills airline with all Y configuration and even at that it’s still a pretty useless plane (i.e Corsair, Level)

that's so true... the longest ETOPS flight pre-pandemic was Auckland to Buenos Aires and it was ETOPS 330 certified on a 777. The A350 XWB is ETOPS 370 certified...
