A large portion of Brisbane is controlled by the Brisbane City Council and also covers parts of several adjoining local government areas. In 1925, the City of Brisbane Act was passed by the Queensland Government, abolishing 20 local government authorities in the city and forming the largest local authority in Australia, covering 1,200 square kilometres (463.3 sq mi).[5] The city played a central role in the Allied campaign during World War II as the South West Pacific headquarters for General Douglas MacArthur. More recently, Brisbane hosted the 1982 Commonwealth Games, 1988 World's Fair (Expo '88), and 2001 Goodwill Games.

Cela étant dit, ce sera un magnifique édifice dans une ville dont le skyline est époustouflant !! Ce design n'a pas besoin d'être celui d'un édifice de 70 étages soit en dit en passant. Un édifice aussi élégant pourrait très bien être construit à Montréal.

Pour ma part.. vous savez deja ce que je pense :

Un gratte-ciel qui ne gratte pas le ciel n'est pas un gratte-ciel.

 

La beaute d'un gratte-ciel vient de son design architectural et de son hauteur. L'hauteur *est* un facteur.. sinon on ne parlerait pas de gratte-ciel!

Cet édifice est multi-fonctionnel. Malgré ces 70 étages, il ne fait paut-être pas 300 mètres puisqu'il y a tout de même un hôtel et des condos. Reste à savoir les proportions de chaque partie. Est-ce 1/3,1/3,1/3 partout ? Une telle tour pourrait très bien être construite au sud du centre-ville, comme dans Griffintown et pourquoi pas ? à l'Ile-des-Soeurs ? ou même au-dessus du métro à Longueuil ?
