Avant d'aller plus loin: que prévoit ce règlement en cas de non-respect?

Comme dit l'expression: les droits des uns s'arrêtent là où ceux des autres commencent. Cela suppose que le bon sens fera que l'on tentera de minimiser au maximum les nuisances quelles qu'elles soient. Cela s'appelle promouvoir le bon vivre ensemble. En ville on n'a pas le choix, il faut tenir compte de l'environnement avant de s'installer quelque part. Cela va de soi. 

Cependant la discipline et la retenue doivent venir des deux côtés et il faut appliquer les mêmes règles pour tout le monde. Entendu qu'un résident qui s'installe dans un immeuble dans le Quartier des Spectacles n'aura pas la même tranquillité que dans un autre secteur de la ville. Pareil pour le Vieux-Montréal ou d'autres endroits spécifiques où il y a déjà une problématique de bruit ou de pollution quelconque.

Ce n'est donc pas la nature de la source qui fait nécessairement problème, mais son intensité et le moment choisi. La Ville a une réglementation claire sur le sujet et une jurisprudence qui peut la guider pour prendre les meilleures décisions. Ne reste ensuite qu'à les appliquer avec célérité. De l'autre côté, personne n'a la même tolérance face au bruit ou autres nuisances. La responsabilité revient alors à chacun de choisir son lieu de résidence, en tenant compte des activités déjà présentes dans le voisinage immédiat.

Une majorité de gens s'accommodent facilement des limites permises par la Ville selon les heures du jour ou de la nuit. Quant aux autres il leur reste à trouver un condo sur une autre face de l'édifice ou carrément s'installer dans un environnement qui leur conviendra davantage.

Pyramid-shaped attraction next to Globe Life Park gets an encore

Arlington’s pointiest entertainment venue, PY1, is sticking around a little longer. And we’re here for it.

Two giant pyramids are stationed out in Arlington, and they’ve come from an even less likely place: Canada.

Although they’d first planned to leave at the end of the month, they’re now sticking around until the beginning of March.

You’ll find them in Lot F at Globe Life Park, a parking lot so far away from the baseball stadium, it has no view of it. There, a small and large pyramid sit side-by-side, glowing with neon lights against the sky like beacons to space travelers — or to Texans wondering what goes on inside them. We’ll let you in on the secret. It’s a sonic and visual attraction called PY1.

PY1 is a new entertainment venue by Guy Laliberté, the Canadian businessman best known for co-founding Cirque du Soleil. Opened on New Year’s Eve, PY1 offers visitors three different programs: a show for kids, one for adults and a nightclub that caters to a more after-hours crowd.

In front of the pyramids sits a climate-controlled VIP tent with a full bar, a small gift shop and a food truck dealing pre-show snacks. Security workers outfitted in red polos and Texas Rangers hats stand out against the edgy, modern backdrop of the structures.

At showtime, visitors enter the smaller of the two pyramids and walk through a dark tunnel of glittering lights that reflect on the ceiling and floor. It leads to the larger 81-foot tall, 12,544-square-foot large pyramid, where reclining chairs and pillows surround a giant meteorite-like sphere spewing hazy white smoke in the center of the room.

Guests can choose from two shows each day. “Through the Echoes” is an adult show that takes the audience on what the venue calls a journey “through space and time.” And “Stella: The Time Machine Journey” consists of a 40-minute trip for kids and parents that includes some audience interaction, like dancing and clapping. Both shows use 500 LED lights, 25 lasers, music, visual projections on the pyramid walls and voice-over narration to tell a story about the past and future of the world.

Without giving away too much, know that you’ll see imaginary sea creatures, chandeliers of various shapes and sizes and fiery gold lights that shift and transform into the faces of different people.

On the weekends, don’t leave right away, because 45 minutes after the last show, the nightclub, called PY1 Nights, takes over the space. Until 2 a.m., crowds dress in costume to match nightly themes, and costumed performers that PY1 calls “Light Beings” dance with the crowd beneath a canopy of lasers and visual projections.
