Really gotta wonder why it isn’t crossing back over the 40 and stopping in the Baie-d’Urfé industrial park. There’s plenty of room in front of Kubota and at the burned out former-Linguini/Stephanie’s resto or the abandoned spur just east of Galderma. It could be built with a central platform to obviate the need for a turn-around or tail tracks and switches.

Maybe in a further phase? I really think it could go this way and what are the odds that its even more lucrative than the actual plan? :

Le remplacement du pont de la 40 est fait pour supporter le poids du REM. Donc dans un éventuel prolongement, ça passerait par la.

I had a similar idea as @Kodun when the route was revealed, but if you want to kill off exo1 in a hurry, that’s the way.

Instead we should be pushing for an overhaul of commuter/regional trains in and around this metropolis. Exo1 should get its own ROW along the 20 with double tracking, electrification, level boarding and covered platforms. 15 minute two-way service with much shorter trains would work.

Yeah, that'd be the idea, to convert this section of Exo1 into REM. Of course, that would kill Hudson service as they would never extend REM over there.

I think downtown Vaudreuil really needs a good transit offering. Exo1 ain’t it. I’ve posted this here before, it’s the Bombardier NGR700 at Brisbane Central heading out to the suburbs and airport on the CityTrain service. When the Queensland government does rail, they do it correctly from the getgo: take priority on a line, add enough parallel tracks to ensure service, electrify, and build level platform stations.

Nature des travaux

Dans le but de poursuivre les forages des caissons de la structure aérienne, d’entamer les travaux permettant à la structure de revenir au sol et de procéder à des travaux de relocalisations d’utilités publiques, le Chemin Sainte-Marie sera fermé à la circulation, en direction est seulement, entre le boulevard Morgan et le Chemin de l’Anse-à-l’Orme à Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue du 17 juin au 31 août 2020.

Un sentier temporaire sera aménagé pour permettre le passage des piétons et des cyclistes sur le Chemin Sainte-Marie.

Les automobilistes désirant emprunter le chemin Sainte-Marie vers l’est devront suivre le détour par le boulevard Morgan et l’autoroute 40 ou prendre le chemin de l’Anse-à-l’Orme et poursuivre leur route sur le chemin Senneville.
