No new pictures — because honestly not much has changed overall except for what can be seen in the Fairview and Anse station threads — but I can confirm that crews are bringing LG Anne back from her winter nap. Today they were reinstalling the control panels and stations that were removed for winter.

Also, the team that started preparing the columns nearest Anne a couple of weeks ago have progressed west of the westbound Ste-Marie overpass and are nearing the Kirkland station. If the long-range weather forecasts are correct, nights should be relatively mild from here on and perhaps work on the aerial sections can start fairly soon.

LG Anne recommence à travailler aujourd'hui et LG Marie recommence lundi!

Les travaux sur l'antenne Anse-à-l'Orme devraient terminer cette année, pour ensuite déplacer les poutres au Technoparc et à Pierrefonds. L'installation des caténaires va également commencer dans les prochains mois.

Est-ce qu'il peut y avoir des restrictions pour le transport des voussoirs pendant la période de dégel ? Je crois que ça se termine le 21 mai dans la région de Montréal.

Bon point, mais ce serait intéressant de savoir ou de se rappeller ce qui se passait l'an dernier à la même date.

Les voussoirs-chevêtre pésent 52t et donc dépassent la limite durant la période de dégel; plusieurs de ceux-ci ont été apportés près des collonnes voisines de la poutre de lancement durant l’hiver. Les voussoirs de mi-portée pésent 48t et donc me dépassent pas la limite.

Voussoirs started arriving on site last night, otherwise technically Anne hasn’t started up yet (so, not last Friday). Pictures from Friday afternoon:

This morning, we can see that she has advanced to the next column:

More lousy pics of Anne in action nearing Kirkland Station through my filthy windshield (je m’excuse!). Elle est en train d’assembler la septième travée avant le pont d’étagement du Chemin Ste-Marie direction ouest. Donc la traverse se fera vers la fin de mai, et elle sera rendue à la station avant juillet. Fort probable que les ouvrages sur cette branche s’achevront vers mi-octobre, avec plein de temps avant l’hiver pour le démontage et transport vers Roxboro.

The LG crews are on a roll! When I passed by at noon yesterday, they were just finishing up gluing the final voussoir of the seventh span (from the overpass), today at noon they were already lifting the sixth of the (typically) 11 voussoirs on the sixth span. Unlike the first 11 months of LG work over the warmer seasons of 2019 and 2020, the LG crews are working around the clock (as opposed to overnight-only), six days a week. The tempo might ratchet up to 3 spans per week! With roughly 65 spans to complete, including the Kirkland station and seven road/overpass crossings, I reckon 28 weeks to complete the branch, or the second week of November. Wow.
