RIP Anthony Bourdain

Aujourd'hui, une de mes idoles s'est suicidé à l'âge de 61 ans. Je poste ça ici parce qu'il a contribué à présenter une belle image de Montréal et de la province. Dans ses trois émissions, No Reservations, The Layover, et Parts Unknown, il a toujours fait un tour ici en mentionnant qu'il s'agissait de son lieu préféré au pays, le tout en présentant ce que nous avions à offrir en tant que province. 

Tu vas nous manquer.

"This is a great country because of this city - without Montreal, Canada would be hopeless" - Anthony Bourdain.

I don't think I'll ever forget that quote by him.  I'm absolutely heartbroken today.

I was shocked this morning too. This guy lived what I saw as the greatest life.. travelling the globe, meeting the greatest chefs, eating the best meals, sitting with Presidents and everyday people alike. He was so humble. In the end though you never know what’s going on underneath it all. Very sad and tragic and he’ll be greatly missed.

C'est quand il a fait une émission à Toronto et à la fin il dit que Montréal est encore meilleur lol.

Il a tellement fait pour publiciser Montréal, pour partager la ville avec le monde. On devrait sincèrement lui dédier une muraille. Peut-être pas à la Leonard Cohen mais je suis certain qu'un immeuble dans le Mile-End lui ferait honneur.
