Perhaps.......Sao Paolo in Brazile would be wonderful.......I'm aware of multiple business people that travel there, would be wonderful to have a direct link, with possibilities of connecting across south america.

Il y a eu un vol YYZ-YMX-RIO-SAO dans les années 80 si je me souviens bien par Varig(qui a fait faillite ensuite),mais pour divers motifs(vol direct CP de YYZ),problème YMX(distance),faible demande,ça n'a pas fonctionné.

Avant on a eu un Aerolineas Argentinas de YMX à RIO via JFK et ou MIA selon les jours(terminant à Buenos Aires).

 

Aussi Lan Chile de YMX pour Santiago via JFK et ou MIA.

Bah, la variété, c'est bien pour le plane-spotting, mais pour les emplois à Montréal, un vol d'Air Canada, c'est bien mieux!

In my opinion São Paulo would be one of the most important missing routes needed  to be filled at YUL. Other than Lima we have no direct connections to South America which is becoming increasingly important economically for Canada. We need to lessen our dependance in the US and strengthen ties to other major powers. Brazil has its issues but that link is one of the critical links all major airports have around the world. It needs to be part of our network. Fingers crossed.

Well major city (outside Asia) could mean many things. Major world city (New York/Paris level) is only a handful. Major in term of population could mean dozens more. Major in term of actual market potential much less.
