Premièrement je ne vois pas ce que vous voulez dire par là. Deuxièmement, je suis quasiment absent de ce forum -du moins, comparativement au passé. Je me garde bien d'intervenir parce que je considère que mes commentaires n'auraient pas beaucoup à ajouter aux débats et aux discussions. 

Cela étant dit je suis assez d'accord avec vous pour le reste. Beaucoup de commentaires inutiles -surtout ceux qui n'ont que pour but de remercier un photographe pour une tournée. Un clique serait suffisant pour démontrer notre appréciation.

Is he considered a God?  He did some great and grand things but he was an autocrat.  I don't think he's missed even though his time is romanticized.

Jean Drapeau put Montreal on the map as an international city forever. Without him Montreal would be a village as the systemic shift to Toronto was already in full swing before he even took command of the city. This was a guy who didnt care for errant dogs or flower pots on balconies. He dreamed big. Yeah, it cost many old sites and people were taken out of their old houses in somehow brutal manners, but the idea behind it came to fruition 45 years later. Big shiny buildings are now rising on those very same sites, and most of the heritage sites are still intact. He would be proud. He won 7 consecutive elections, so its clear people loved him and loved his autoritarian style coupled with his all-in commitment to this city. Every Montrealer should owe him a visit to his gravesite in cimetière Côte-des-Neiges at least once a year.

I completely disagree! Montreal was already on an impressive trajectory B4 Drapeau showed up. He was a conservative with big dreams and believed he had all the answers. He certainly had vision, but one I did not necessarily share. Perhaps a few years of Drapeau would have been beneficial; clearly, he overstayed his welcome!!
