Where is New York (JFK & LGA) & Newark?

Interesting where Hawaii stands  I read somewhere online that Hawaiian might fly to YUL. Probably just speculation.  Perhaps there's a real possibility in the next couple of years if those numbers  grows though

Unlikely in the short to medium term if you ask me. Long term, who knows. As you said, numbers need to increase, probably double, for AC or Hawaiian to seriously consider YUL-HNL.

Just to compare, YYZ got it's non-stop (seasonal, 2x weekly) to HNL in late 2014, when the market between the two was already around 100,000 a year.  In 2016, it stood at around 132,000, and still AC downgraded the route to 1x weekly. It's a long flight, and you can't charge a lot, or else people will opt for the cheaper 1 stop options out there. HNL is a low yield market.

What ADM should incentivise is SEA and SAN. Both higher yielding,  shorter routes and attainable non-stops at the moment. The CSeries is the perfect plane for both routes.

MSY could also work on a Jazz CRJ9.

If there is a direct flight from Montreal to Honolulu, it amazing. I have been wanting that like 2 decades.

I do agree with thenoflyzone that we would need more at least twice of the amount of people going each year, to have a viable direct flight.
