With the recently announced service with AC rouge to PHX, i'm a bit surprised with the times.  Doesn't an 1850 arrival land too late for some connections to Europe?

That's not really what AC is going for. It's more for Montrealers to escape the winters and timed with a morning departure for easy connections with in Canada. However 18:50 is still a reasonable time to catch CDG, LYS, LHR, BRU.

A three month seasonal three weekly service isn't really convenient for European connections anyway. And as Alexcaban said, the route was launched to serve the local O&D, and so the flight times reflect that.
