Agreed, but I think that if I lived upstairs, I'd be happy to have a huge selection of alcohol right below me. The nearest SAQ is the small one on St-Catherine and their selection is terrible. The Selection might not be the most upscale choice, but it's better than a useless retail store IMO.

The signature banner doesn't really exist anymore since the one on Ste-Catherine closed. The signature products are now dispatched trough a few SAQ selection, suchas Atwater, Maisonneuve, Beaubien and now de la Montagne. Also via SAQ.com, which imo is way better for the accessibility.

The one on dlm, carries mostly signature products and could be considered as a ''SAQ Signature''

SAQ should go back to SAQ. Period. Stop the signature, selection, express non-sense. Make every store a real event, customized and upscale. Enough with the sub-branding.

Oh and this Flagship opportunity would be perfect for a Caroline Neron relaunch store or Mahee Perfumes extravaganza. The typical Ogilvy('s) clientele would be thrilled with these upscale Quebec brands.
