Alexcaban
Interesting.. Pisa is particularly surprising.. The beautiful Tuscan region and proximity to Florence should make this route successful, and if it is I'm hoping for Naples to follow. caribb
No doubt the beauty of the region is a draw but Pisa doesn't come up often on trans-Atlantic route schedules let alone to Montreal.. but hey good for us.
greenlobster
No doubt the beauty of the region is a draw but Pisa doesn't come up often on trans-Atlantic route schedules let alone to Montreal.. but hey good for us. Beautiful area , but watch out for pickpocket gypsies , me and my wife were attacked by a dozen , trying to rip of her purse and take my wallet . A real problem in Pisa . Unfortunately not easy to get around unless in a group. Better when you leave to the outskirts of Pisa.
caribb
Yikes.. I've known for years pick pocketing is a general problem in European cities. ..worse than in North America but gangs gangs of them.. ick... This route though is interesting. I wonder if it was initiated more because of tourism or family visits. Other than maybe JFK I have never heard of a trans-Atlantic flight to Pisa.. and for Montreal I would have guessed Milan as the 2nd Italian city we'd get service to but hey we actaully got Venice first. ..and where's Alitalia in all this? Italy is such a strange market.

Alexcaban
In addition to these two new routes... Transat is also increasing frequency and capacity on many of its routes, including: -- Montreal to Lyon (5 flights a week), Lisbon (4 flights a week), London and Toulouse (3 flights a week) http://aviationtribune.com/airlines/north-america/item/295-air-transat-to-launch-new-zagreb-and-pisa-services Glad to see YUL-LIS getting a little attention. Those flights are always full, Portugal is a beautiful country. I wish SATA would serve this route.
