I have heard from a source who works for a tenant at 1425 Boul. Rene-Levesque Ouest that the building was recently sold to Saputo and therefore the property management contact info had changed. I don't know anything beyond this. There were rumours circulating in other threads about Saputo targeting the Standard Life Building which appears to have fallen through... could this have been their Plan B? The building is home to a number of tenants including Quebec govt offices, some international NGOs, and a language school among others... as well as the newly opened Frunchroom restaurant.

      1. Objet du projet et demande d’approbation référendaire
      À la suite de l’assemblée publique de consultation tenue le 24 octobre 2007, le conseil de
      l’arrondissement a adopté le second projet de la résolution ci-dessus mentionnée lors de sa séance du 6
      novembre 2007.
      L’objet du présent projet de résolution vise à autoriser, à certaines conditions, certains usages
      commerciaux en sous-sol (épicerie, librairie (journaux) et restaurant / traiteur) et permettre
      l’agrandissement de l’édicule pour des fins d’accessibilité universelle au 620, avenue Atwater (station de
      métro Lionel-Groulx).
      Ce second projet contient des dispositions qui peuvent faire l’objet d’une demande de la part des
      personnes intéressées de la zone visée et des zones contiguës afin qu’une résolution qui les contient soit
      soumise à leur approbation conformément à la Loi sur les élections et les référendums dans les
      municipalités.
      Une telle demande vise à ce que la résolution contenant de telles dispositions soit soumise à
      l’approbation des personnes habiles à voter de la zone à laquelle elle s’applique et de celles de toute
      zone contiguë d’où provient une demande valide à l’égard de la disposition.

      This beautiful 1911 building has been under renovation for a year, transforming its 3 top floors into luxurious rental apartments (entrance at 1405 Bishop). The project is called "Bishop Lofts" although these seem like regular apartments.
       
      Buffalo Jeans will occupy most of the ground floor retail space, with a Mochico shoe store as neighbor.

      Air Algérie has been ordered to pay back €11.22 million to Canadian SMI International
       
      Air Algérie, the Algerian national airline has been ordered to pay back 1.5 billion Algerian Dinars (11.22 million Euros) 1 to the Canadian group SMI International, the International Court of Arbitration of Canada (ICC) has decided. The airline now has until Thursday to comply with the judgement and pay the requested amount, if not the airline may face its Airbus A330 aircraft being seized in Canada.
      It’s not the first time that an Air Algérie aircraft was seized: in 2014 a Belgian court seized an aircraft at Brussels Airport, sparking a diplomatic row between Algeria, Belgium and The Netherlands. Finally Air Algérie paid a sum of € 2 million dollars to a Dutch company.
      The dispute concerns the construction of the new Air Algérie headquarters located in Dar El Beida, just next to the old headquarters of Mobilis and worth an investment of €100 million. Back in 2013 Air Algérie canceled the contract with SMI for “non-performance, not completing the project on time and failure of the contractor”. In fact the Lebanese design office Khatib and Alami did not deliver the final version of the correct construction plans until March 2012, only one year from the expiration of the deadlines.
      While SMI requested an extension of the deadline and asked Air Algérie to pay €17.8 million for unpaid work and materials, the latter unilaterally decided to end the contract.
      Air Algérie, already weakened by the economic situation of the country, may now face its new Airbus A330 being seized in Canada.
