Effectivement, voici une photo de loin représentant le cœur vide de GFT et les premières tours sur St-Jacques. De fait, en marchant sur St-Jacques ou Notre-Dame, on n’a aucune idée qu’il existe une quartier densément peuplé juste à l’arrière du côté Sud. Premier quartier à l’allure urbaine mais à l’écart du CV et sans fil connecteurs entre les 2 entités. Raison pour laquelle, des immeubles beaucoup plus haut 120+, 150 ou même 180 sur le terrain coin St-Jacques/ Peel comblerait un vide visuel dans le Skyline entre GFT - CV.

Six towera of 167m in the same place would have been some kind of overkill like the 120m fence on R-L West or the future 200m ghetto around TDLB : VLSP, BN, 900, South OACI II (soon) and probably South Blocks West and East.

So... is the expansion blocked by the city/province? Or they just haven't started the 600 Peel yet.

CF has been dead silent on 600 Peel and 750 Peel... really pathetic to see how slow they are.

Yep their last project announced is TDC3 and dates back more than 5 years. Ridiculous!

They probably hate PM and Valérie and wait for the Denis to come back and up the ceiling of their 120m lots. Exactly like they did with the lots on TDC 2-3.

This IMO is a very good guess, and prolly why they’ve announced megaprojects outside Ville Marie in the interim.

Sometimes, the future turns out to be brighter than the present.  Likewise, it can be more advisable to wait before launching a project, enabling a more striking one later.  Better than content oneself with something ordinary that you cannot modify later.

Promoters have different views as to when is the best time to launch a project. Not a bad thing, as it attenuates the boom and bust cycle.
