Holiday Inn, c'est comme des Days Inn, en bas de l'échelle. Il y a de grosses rumeurs sur l'hôtel Waldorf Astoria.

''If you thought that was enough to keep this part of the Hilton group busy, there's still Beijing (2013), Dubai on the Palm (2014), and Crete (Greece), Hainan Baoting and Sanya (China) as well as Montréal - all scheduled for 2015 - to look forward to. ''

marc ac, I think you're really nit-picking here. Like someone else mentionned, if they were closing down hotels left and right and not replacing them, then I'd say you'd have a point. But the hotels that are closing down are old rusty things from the 70's and we're replacing them with brand new hotels or converting them into student housing.

This is a good thing!

Other hotels have also opened or are expending! Ritz opened not too long ago, Marriot Residences on Peel is doing an expansion, Le George-Stephen Club hotel is in construction on Drummond, Hotel St-Martin is also a recent hotel on Maisonneuve and so is the Hilton Garden Inn if I am correct.

On top of all that, you need to remember that a lot of people are using AirBnB or Kijiji to find rooms now instead of going to the hotel!

And to be perfectly honest, the Delta and Maritime that closed were shit hotels with shit rooms (can't say for Holiday Inn though)
