Cyrus
Way off topic and its not like any of us can afford their charter service called "Jetz". They have 6 Airbus A319/320 for charter which are used by all the Canadian hockey teams and Canada sole baseball team. It be interesting if they would get at least a smaller plane from Bombardier like the CS300ER or Global Express 8000, but I am for sure asking to much of them and people would would want service that I am talking about, would end up having their own plane. It is to bad that they done have the A319CJ, that thing flies like 12,000 km. Air Canada Jetz should do what Lufthansa did for its private aircraft fleet have it operated by NetJets but Air Canada Jetz could be operated by Bombardier's FlexJets LOL, MTLURB meet in Vegas just charter the whole plane
internationalx
I don't get the Air Canada bashing. I'm even surprised that it is still a 3-star carrier. Should be 4-stars. I flew in Executive Class YVR-HKG and was impressed. Moreover, AC compared to AA is, well, you can't compare. AT ALL. AC is by far superior. I mean, PTV's on most aircraft. As for language, some people are just hyper-sensitive and it is ridiculous in this day and age. AC does a heck of a job providing service in both languages. Sometimes it's just luck of the draw. jesseps
I remember going down to Miami... they had English, French, Spanish, Mandarin and Italian on the flight lol Not sure how many other airlines out there would offer that many languages. Maybe an airline in Europe would.

Maybe an airline in Europe would. J'approuve!

caribb
This will come in time.. the 787 will help make that more viable. Toronto offers a lot more connections for Asians so it's logical they send those flights to YYZ. Codes shares work better for the moment from here. YUL needs to strengthen in US routes as well as domestic routes in order to support direct flights. Asian routes would need those feeds to make them profitable. Montreal isn't just an O&D destination and shouldn't be if it wants to grow on a global scale. Qatar Airways new route is a great sign though.. confidence in our ability to support such a long range destination. They are marketing Montreal as "Canada" meaning their entry point into our country so again connecting flights become crucial for their success. Fingers crossed it will work and if so flights to Beijing might not be all that far behind.
